| Box AI for spreadsheet querying Launched | Spreadsheet querying is a new Box AI feature that enables Box AI customers to get insights from and perform calculations on spreadsheets stored in Box. Users will be able to ask questions such as "describe the financial trends from the last three years" or "calculate the NPS score from a customer survey". Spreadsheet querying will work with .XLS and .XLSX files only. This capability will be available in all plans where Box AI is available. To learn more about building a custom agent for spreadsheet querying, please check out the enhancements to AI Studio product announcement. |
| Configurable signature field with date and time stamp in Box Sign Coming soon | We will be releasing the ability to automatically include the date and timestamp within the signature frame any time a recipient applies their e-signature to a signature request. Additionally, Admins and Co-Admins will also be able to determine whether to disable or enable the entire signature frame altogether, including the signature request ID and Box Sign logo. These features will be controlled by settings that are configured within the Admin Console by Admins or Co-Admins. |
| Announcing Box AI Enhanced Extract Agent Coming soon | Soon, we will be announcing new Box AI Enhanced Extract Agent starting June 25, 2025 in Enterprise Plus tiers and above. Box's Extract agents manifest in two key areas: UI Preview (available in Enterprise Advanced tier), and the Extract API (available in Enterprise Plus tiers and above). Each of these components plays a crucial role in enhancing user experience and operational efficiency. |
| Box AI actions for Agentforce (Jun 2025) GA | We've released Box AI actions for Agentforce so you can do more advanced actions, like data extraction, on Box content across Salesforce, Slack and Agentforce. This release integrates Box AI enabling customers to build agents that leverage these actions to automate tasks within their workflows. |
| Coming soon | With a new dedicated “Box AI” tab in the left navigation, admins can now configure permissions for users and groups with greater precision. The settings also allow granular control over which services, such as Documents, Notes, Hubs, and official integrations. We are adding a new Discover tab within the new Box AI tab. |
