Box Sign for Workday integration

Launched

We have released an integration between Box Sign and Workday, bringing secure and seamless e-signature capabilities directly into the Workday ecosystem.

Teams can manage the full document lifecycle—from distribution to signing to automated storage—without leaving Workday, speeding up hiring, onboarding, and compliance while maintaining the strong security standards of both platforms.

Box MCP Server

Box added the following new tools to the Box MCP Server.

Released (February 12)

  • Doc Gen: List, retrieve and generate a document using a Doc Gen template (subject to restrictions preventing external sharing)

  • Collaboration: list collaborations

  • Search: Search files by a metadata (query)

 

Rollout and availability

  • New tools automatically appear and are ready to be used by users of enterprises with MCP Server enabled.

Modifiable retention exceptions (Feb 2026)

We have made enhancements to modifiable retention policies and now give Admins the ability to permanently delete content under retention, providing flexibility as external regulatory environments or internal governance policies change.
