Hi, I am trying to automatically download/upload files from/to BOX via the API using a PowerShell script. I have followed the following guide (https://developer.box.com/docs/getting-started-box-platform) and I am struggling to find a way to grant access without user clicking on the browser. I have looked into the following discussion (https://community.box.com/t5/Box-Developer-Forum/Re-How-I-can-connect-to-OAuth2-from-server-side-script-without/m-p/1980#M171) and it seems like it is not possible without interacting with the browser. I am looking into the Authentication with JWT. This seems promising, but I am not 100% sure. Is this the official way of doing this kind of task? Thanks, Daniel

I cannot successfully install box tools. I have followed the instructions at this page: https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/360044195273-Continuous-Prompt-to-Install-Box-Tools I haven't had success. I've worked with my nonprofit's IT and they don't think there is any environment issue. We have also tried installing box drive, which didn't work either. The next step on that page is to open a support ticket. When my coworker downloads, he immediately gets the Install Wizard popup. I never get that, but we cannot find any reason why it should be blocked from installing. Any help would be much appreciated! I use BOX daily and it would make my work much more efficient to be able to use desktop apps.
Was using WebDav earlier this week since it supports Linux, but today it appears to have been broken. OpenSSL SSL_connect: SSL_ERROR_SYSCALL in connection to dav.box.com:443 The Box Status page had a banner briefly up today indicating that WebDAV was broken and being looked at, but now it is gone too. https://status.box.com/ I know the official word was that it was no longer actively supported. Is there a Linux solution for mounting a filesystem view of it?
I recently had some files fail to sync properly to my Box Sync account and they disappeared from my desktop and box sync account. I have looked in the trash on my box sync account and in the trash on my PC but I’m still unable to find them.

After restoring my computer from a back up, box was not working on my desktop verison. I am trying to download the desktop version on my Mac, I followed these instructions and it is still not working, https://docs.box.com/en/box-drive/getting-started-with-box-drive/uninstalling-box-driveI successfully reinstalled it but when I try to launch the desktop app it says:“Box Drive has failed to update to version 2.52.312.Please try to update again or report this issue to us by sending your logs.”I sent the logs but then doesn’t let me contact anyone. When I logged out yesterday my documents went missing! The box icon was deleted too… but I didn’t panic then… The problem was when I went online and stuff I had for years was gone… the folders were intact but empty!I installed the box in my computer again but although the files had dates like 2017 or 2018 were empty!Stuff I know was online a week ago went missing too…I need my work files back! When I try to upload or save a file from Box, the following message appears: Using the Files feature with your user account is restricted as long as your administrator requires a Box in-app passcode. I am an administrator and would like to access the files. How can I do this? Greetings GO
I have deleted tons of files in my 100gb account including the trash bin. When I try to upload a file, I still get this error message "Account storage limit reached". What's up? I'm unable to view and download a mp4 file that I was "invited" to. I was invited by Joni Patry on May 18th, so I selected the "Accept Invite" box, created a 'Box' account and then what do I click on? There's nothing indicating there's a mp4 for me to download.

One of my employees has been having an issue viewing PDF Previews in Box. We use Box integrated with our CRM Wealthbox. When my employee is redirected to the Box folder she is trying to view, the preview for the file she wants will not load, and she is receiving the below error message and is prompted to download the file in order to view. The files she is trying to access are NOT protected as we have uploaded them ourselves, She has an admin/editor role, and I have had other employees follow the same steps that she does, even those with viewer roles, and they are not having the same issues with the same files. What is causing this error for her? Is it some sort of permission level in Box, or on the file itself, or is it an issue with the PDF reader? We cannot determine the cause but need to resolve asap.

I am looking for the most efficient way to make a folder readonly for all users. Make everyone except for the admin user Viewer only permission to the folder, any subfolders and all files under a folder. Question:1. Do I need to traverse all folders and files and change permissions or is there a better way to accomplish this?2. I would like to avoid triggers if any to the files and folders. Does this qualify as change and if there are any events attached, do they get triggered? If so, I would first like to disable the triggers. NOTE: I am new to box API.
When I enter the @ symbol in an open document, users do not populate. I am able to use the function in comments in the Activity window when viewing documents that are not open, but when I open the document, the @mention function no longer works. Can someone help me resolve this issue?
