Reported storage size does not match the actual storage size

My Box account is reporting that my storage is fully utilized when it’s not. Could someone from Box support please reset the size indexing on my account? Thanks.

My storage quota still didn’t update even after I deleted around 7GB data from my box account.  I’m sure my data should be within my 50GB quota.  Could you please help to reset?  Thanks!

Dear Support Team,

I am currently experiencing an issue with my storage usage on Box.com. Although I have deleted a significant amount of data, the storage capacity has not been updated accordingly and still shows the previous usage.

Could you please assist in checking and refreshing my storage status? If there are any additional steps required from my side, kindly let me know.

Recently updated folders showing incorrect file counts.  This appears to be a known issue that’s been around for quite some time.  Is there an ETA on a fix?

I am using the free version of Box which includes 10GB of storage.  I  reached the limit a while ago and have been getting rid of old files.  I'm still getting a message that I am out of storage but the admin console window show us only using about  1GB of storage.  I just got the message again when trying to upload a file.  What can I do to resolve this?  Thanks.

Hello,My available storage isn't up to date. My account shows 10.1 GB, but I deleted some folders and now I have much less.

Hi, I have deleted files worth two-third of the storage space. The storage usage count is not updated even when I clear the bin. Would you mind helping to look into the issue? Thanks a lot for your time.


I'm a PAID USER... and my account usage under one of the seat is GROSSLY incorrect.  I need you to run the script to reset the storage size to the correct amount.

Hi,

Ive been a used of Box for a long tiime and I am trying to upload files onto my 10Gig account but an error keeps coming up saying I dont have enough storage. When I log into Box on the bottom right hand corner its saying Ive got 10Gig taken up, but on my computer properties search its telling me I have under 2Gig in the Box folders. Ive emptied my trash and permenatly deleted files to make more room but it keep happening. Can someone please help me?

Hi ! I’m reaching my max file capacity and decided to make space. So I erased a bunch of the heaviest files , cleaned my bin but it didn’t free space on the mark. Is it as it should be? Is it calculating the whole space ever used and not the actual present space used? Thanks for your answer!

Hello, my account shows that I am at max storage, so I deleted a bunch of files and cleared the trash and the storage amount isn’t changing. I’ve had this issue before and I know a support person needs to do something on their end but there is NOWHERE to contact support, which is super annoying. Instead I am having to type this conversation in a community chat hoping someone will notice. Why did you take away the option for people to directly contact support???

Hi, 

It shows my storage to be 10GB/10GB (Full), but I know its not since I just deleted half of the files. 

Can you please run the script to fix the usage in my storage.

Hi, my account details are showing 10.7Gb used and so I have deleted a bunch of files and the JohnBates folder now shows 127Mb. Would you please run the script to fix, thank you.

Your content deletion cleared your allotted space. Does the folder ‘JohnBates’ supposed to contain more than 127MB? What’s the total space prior your deletion?

My account is a personal pro account with 100GB of storage space. However, I have recently deleted a large number of files but my storage count remains close to maximum. How can I get my storage count to accurate show the available free space? I’m not able to add new files.
