Webhook v1 not firing

We are trying to evaluate an CASB solution for Box. We have created this sample app and we are able to check the APIs. But we wanted to get notified for any changes in our Enterprise account. (any folder/any user). So we were unable to use V2.

When we tried v1, it is not firing. I have added webhook and it is pointing to a test webhook endpoint for testing purpose.

  1. Is there any approval needed for this?
  2. If I change the endpoint should I need to followup again with support?

P.S: v2 webhooks are working fine for individual directories.

Have you collaborated the users you wish the webhook to fire for as a developer of the application?

Let me know!

Hi Alex,

I have added myself as a Collaborator and I am testing from my login only. It is not firing for me.

Did you enable the webhook for you user? If the app type isn't Oauth 2.0, you will have to contact support.

Hi Alex,

My app is created as "OAuth 2.0 with JSON Web Tokens (Server Authentication)".

Is that ok?

Alex,

I dont see AppGallery option on this page. How do I do Submit my app?

Ah! Yes, that is a JWT app (the first app in my screenshot) and requires you to contact support to enable it.BOX1_Yb5i9mIfz3zdpa9GXz_DrA.png

Thanks Alex I have raised support ticket. One more doubt, in future if I change the webhook url, should I need to get approval from Box support?

I don't believe so! I think that just changes the webhooks configured URL. I would still test that though.
