External Collaborator Invitation Error in BOX
 

I am a co-owner of a BOX. When I tried to invite an external partner, I encountered an error. The error message said: "We couldn't send invitations to the following users because inviting external collaborators is not allowed." How should I proceed to be able to invite external collaborators?

Looks like you’re restricted to invite external users and to investigate, let’s start with the folder settings: 

  1. Login to Box.com and choose the affected folder, More Options> Settings.

  2. From Settings, in the Collaboration section see if restrict collaboration is checked.

 

If it’s the case, you can un-check the box and Save Changes.
