Can there be other reasons than the one mentioned in the titular error for this error message? Both before and after a PUT call to the collab endpoint I've GET requested the status of the collab object and the status is "pending".
While on the topic, do I really have to create a collab and then change its status to "accepted"? Are they normally supposed to be auto-accepted and am I doing something wrong?
I found out that the issue lied elsewhere: The ID of the user was missing so it sent out email invitations probably and it's normal that I can't force its status to accepted because there's nobody to add as collaborator until the recipient of that invitation signs up for a Box account.
Still, the error message could be improved. Something like "Cannot change status while email invitation is pending" would be more accurate.
