I know this has been floated by users and discussed for years, but has Box updated its roadmap to include a version of Box Drive that works with Windows ARM chips? Would really like to start moving employees in my business who travel frequently over to Windows ARM-based devices.

Thanks!

Hi Jason,

Welcome to Box Community and glad to help!

As of this writing, there is no available update if Box Drive will soon be available for Windows ARM-based devices.

Meanwhile, we'd still love hear your feature request and feedback in here.

Thanks for posting!

There's no option to upvote that feature, presumably because it was marked as "delivered." But it's not delivered—it's only delivered for Apple ARM.

Sorry Rona, I just saw you edited your post to remove the reference to upvoting. But with your change, I also cannot add comments to that thread, because comments have been closed. Probably because it's marked (incorrectly) as delivered. That's why I started this new thread. :)

Hi,

Because Heise Verlag Germany published a test laptop with KI support in January 2025 (e.g. c't 2025-01), I purchased a Lenovo 16" Snapdragon with 32 GB RAM and a 1 TB SSD.

This laptop is a cost-efficient choice as well as being an excellent performer. It’s half the price of an AMD or Intel CPU laptop with equivalent performance. On top of that, you get a laptop that will last you well over a whole working day plus evening without needing to be plugged in.

The competition's G-Drive was linked without any problems.

It's time for Box to provide Windows on ARM too.
