Why doesn't box search for sub-folders in Windows 11 File Explorer. This is a key part of my job as I use Windows 11 to share our shared document with my supervisors and the company executives. I need to be able to use File Explorer as it lets me quickly open PDF to merge documents. I can use the preview pane to quickly look at a document and know what needs to be altered. I can also use the preview pane to quickly rename files based on company naming conventions that we must follow. Not being able to search subfolders is inconvenient and having to use the box web search or the box drive search is inconvenient. I'm a freelance employee, so I move around from company to company, and often times the company already has there drive set up and I would install whatever desktop version they have to my computer for easiest access of files for a couple of the above mentioned reasons. I have used google drive, and drop box. Both these shared drives allow me to search sub-folders within the drive folder with no issue. Why is Box the one that has an issue with searching sub-folders, and allowing us to customize the search options while in file explorer.

- If yes, what is the current version of your Box application? To check, go to your Control Panel> Programs> Programs and features
- Did you try using the Box website to search for your sub-folders? If yes, did you experience the same issue?

The box desktop version I am using is 2.31.64
Yes, I am able to search the box website for the files in sub-folders, but it is very necessary for me to be able to do so in my file explorer, since I mentioned before, it allows me to quickly find documents I need to alter, preview document in the file explorer, open it with my desktop programs (Adobe/Microsoft) and make the necessary changes.
PLEASE - FIND AN ANSWER!! This has been a HUGE failure with BOX compared to other Apps like Google Drive which searches for files in subfolders using MS Explorer - Effortlessly with correct results. What is the reason WHY Box has no capability to search??

Hard to believe searching using Everything/Everything Toolbar will not return my box files! I have to clumsily click in the taskbar then click on box app then click in the search box?? Makes for a horrible workflow! Please address!
Dear Box, just bring back this feature. Point made. We use it. Don’t dictate us what you think is great for us. btw, using your research tray is NOT what users want. dropbox failed an entire app for this reason. just let us use the system.
