Why did I receive a bandwidth usage notice when I have not used box enough to exceed my bandwidth?

I received an email saying that “We have detected a significant increase in bandwidth use that exceeds the bandwidth limitations set forth in our Fair Use Policy”. I am confident that I have not used box enough to exceed my bandwidth limitation so I am wondering why I am receiving this message?
