Hi, I will be making files available to clients for download.
I will also be making a folder available to each client to upload into.
Since I usually won't know if my clients have a Box account, I will probably use the "Shared Link" feature, which is different from inviting someone as a collaborator, just in case they don't have an account.
I tested this with multiple accounts, and it works well.
I would prefer to add each client as a Viewer on the download folder and an Uploader on the upload folder in addition though. This is because if they *do* have a Box account, it will allow them better control and integration - for example, the shared folders will show up in their folder structure when they are logged in.
The problem is that for those clients who *don't* have a box account, adding them as collaborators will ask them to open a Box account. I don't want to require this for them, and I don't want to confuse them. I know that for clients without a Box account, it would be better to just share the download and upload links (without adding them as collaborators) so as not to confuse them.
Is there any way around this if I don't know if someone has a Box account or not? Is it possible to add them as a collaborator without requiring them to create a Box account?
