we also have the new MacBook Air, M1 chip. I'm also getting the 'System Extension failed to load...' message. I want to provide a new employee with the new MacBook Air with M1 chip and working with the internet version is no option. I can't buy an "old" MacBook just because Box doesn't support the new version of Mac

When exactly does Box Drive work on MacBook Air with M1 chip?
I'd like to point out that it can no longer really be considered "early in the year." I know I'm not alone in the inconvenience of not being able to access Box files other than through the Web.

We are excited to announce that we have released a Public Beta of Box Drive that is compatible with new Apple devices with M1 chips today.
Any Box user can access this without signing the Master Beta Agreement.

We will be releasing a Beta build of Box Drive that will be compatible with Apple's new devices using M1 chips. The Beta is planned in early this year but currently do not have an ETA. You may contact your account team for information regarding the Beta.
In the meantime, you can access your Box content on Apple Silicon devices via the Box web application by logging into (https://app.box.com)
