When creating a free account, an error appears in the email address field: "Email address is invalid"

When I tried to create a free account using my company email address, I received an error message saying "Email address is invalid" and was unable to proceed.
I have confirmed that the email address is correct, and I have not already created a Box account with this email address.

Hi @hkty3x

Welcome to Box Community, and we’re glad to assist with your account creation error!

If you are attempting to set up a new account in the same email address you've used to post in the Community Forums. Please note that this email is already registered to Box and can no longer be used to sign up for a new Box account.

By any chance, are you referring to a different email address? If yes, kindly open a support ticket for us to further investigate.

Thanks for your continued support in the Community Forums!

@Rona Box
The issue has been resolved.
We asked the user to check once again if they had any other accounts, and it turned out there was an unused account. We were able to log in using that ID and password. Thank you very much!
