We need to a remove a user who has access to nearly 100 separate shared folders. What is the best way to do this? Would I need to remove this person from each folder one-by-one?

Hi Michael,

Welcome to the Box Community, I'm happy to help!

If you would like to remove a collaborator from shared folders that you own, you can do this following these steps:

  1. Click your display profile on the right side
  2. Choose "Collaborators"
  3. You will then see the list of all users you are collaborating with,
  4. Locate the user's name
  5. Hover your cursor to the user's name and you will see a button to "Remove" at the end of his name
  6. If you click this button, a pop-up message will appear if you wish to confirm removing the user as a collaborator from all the folders you own

To learn more about managing collaborators, please take a look at this article: https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/360044196273-Managing-Collaborators#removecollab

All the Best,

Hello. I have a follow up question based on the discussion above. We now have a need to add a user to the same several folders. Would the process described above be the same too add a user? Thank you in advance.
