Hi community,

How does one go about forcing Box to apply vector-based watermarking, and NOT raster watermarking?

My Box is only giving one option of turning on or off watermarking - and when on, only applying the raster watermarking. Very frustrating, as this watermarking kills all links in the doc.

A bit shocked that this isn’t made into an easy option for users of Box. Hopefully y’all can guide 🙏 Thanks!!

Vector-based and rasterized watermarking (recommended) - Provides infinite resolution, inclusion in search, clickable links, and a very small sized file overhead, but can and will be used on document-based files only. Rasterized watermarking will be used on all image files.

👋 Hi @Gassguzzzler, welcome to the Box Community!

Your enterprise settings may have been configured for rasterized watermarking only.

To update this, the admin can go to Admin Console > Enterprise Settings > Content & Sharing > Watermarking, and choose between two options: vector-based and rasterized watermarking, or rasterized watermarking only. Please be advised that, at the moment, these are the only settings available for the watermarking feature.

Regarding the first option, as outlined here: Enterprise Settings: Content & Sharing Tab > Watermarking, please note that watermark types will be applied automatically based on file type when users add watermarks to files or folders.

Please feel free to reach out if you have other concerns. 😊

Thank you! Will give this a shot.
