User Personal Folder

Welcome to Box Community, and we’re glad to assist! 

There’s a global restriction that prevents your managed users from creating their personal folders, making the ‘new’ button unavailable to them. 

To grant them access to create their personal folders, please follow these instructions. 

• Log in to Box.com and navigate to Admin Console> Enterprise Settings> Content & Sharing tab. 
• Scroll down to Content Creation section and un-check ‘Restrict Content Creation’
• Don’t forget to save to capture the changes.

Hi, I don’t see this option at all:  ‘Restrict Content Creation

I see a checkbox that says something different:  Only admins can create or delete first level folders.  I don’t think I want to uncheck this box, yet I want users to be able to create their personal folders.

​@Neel Sharma  and ​@Rona Box   - I'm having the same problem. The box documentation is very confusing about this subject.   It says we can restrict users from creating or deleting first level folders but with that setting they SHOULD still be able to create private folders within their own account, but they cannot.  What is the discrepancy and solution here?
