Hello Box Community and Support Team,
I previously posted about this issue but have not received a response. As it is affecting our ongoing business operations, I would greatly appreciate any assistance, especially from the Box Support Team.
Background:
-
My permission for a specific Box folder was changed from Editor to Owner so that I could invite other users.
-
After the change, I attempted to invite another user, but Box displayed an error.
-
When we attempted to change my permission back to Editor, I unexpectedly lost access to the folder.
-
My account no longer appears in the folder's collaborator list.
-
The current folder Owner is another employee within the same organization.
-
Even when the current Owner directly attempts to re-invite me as an Editor, Box displays the following error:
"An error occurred while processing your request. Please try inviting the collaborator again."
Important Additional Information:
-
The current Owner and I belong to the same company and organization.
-
The issue affects only this specific folder.
-
I can still access other Box folders normally.
-
I can receive invitations to other new folders without any issues.
-
Repeated attempts to re-invite me have failed.
-
The current Owner has confirmed that my account is no longer listed as a collaborator.
Questions for the Box Support Team:
-
Could the ownership changes have caused an inconsistency in the folder's permission or collaboration records?
-
Could there be any residual or hidden collaboration records preventing my account from being re-invited?
-
Is there a way for the folder Owner or Box administrator to reset or repair the affected collaboration permissions?
-
If this requires intervention from Box's technical team, how can we request an investigation or escalation when direct support is unavailable?
This issue is urgent and is disrupting our business operations.
We would greatly appreciate specific troubleshooting steps or assistance from a Box Community Moderator or Support Engineer.
Our priority is to restore access to the existing folder without affecting its contents or other collaborators.
I can provide the folder ID, screenshots of the error, and additional details privately if needed.
Thank you very much for your assistance.
