I was asked to upload 40gb of large files to a companies folder that was shared with me. I just made a free account. It will not let me upload large files due to being a free account. Is there a way around this since the company pays for their account?

The maximum file size limit for uploads to Box varies depending on your account type, as for yourself you're limited to 250 MB per file. As for now, you would need to upload files by batch.
Meanwhile, in order to upload larger contents, you may want to consider upgrading your Box account.
