Hi,

I hope this finds you well.

I have been facing a problem when uploading html files to Box via python. For some reason, when the html files are uploaded to Box and I open them, I get the underlying html code instead of the actual contents of the file.

I have tried to convert the html file to pdf via python and then upload said python file to Box, but between those 2 actions I have found that the quality of the depicted graphs decreases to a considerable extent.

Is there a way for me to upload html files directly?

Thank you in advance for your time.

Kind regards,

Dimitris

Hi 1515319441181

Actually you see html code when opening .html file not because of it was uploaded by python, but because it's how content preview is working on Box for .html files.
If you will put a html file manually to Box through your browser, the result will be the same.

This is because .html file is displayed in content preview as text-based document (please look here)

Hi Arthur,

Thank you very much for your reply.

I read both the answer and the link provided, however I am bit confused. Just to reiterate, there is no way for me to view the contents of html files in Box, correct?

Thank you again for your time.

Kind regards,

Dimitris
