Upgrade to newer version of Box Popup Error

I was forced to uninstall the box mac application. When I went to re-install it, I received a popup that says "upgrade to newer version of Box". I click on the popup and nothing happens. Box is inoperable. I signed onto another user on my Mac and there is no issue with the Box application. Please advise. Thank you.

Same this is happening to me. I had it installed (for the first time today) and it was working fine then it disappeared off of my computer and now it is giving me this error as well. I have tried deleting it and reinstalling, updating my OS, still no luck.

24508680427 I was able to fix it by uninstalling it following these instructions (https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/360044196293-Uninstalling-Box-Drive) and then restarting my computer, and then reinstalling it. Works now. Good luck

I'm having the same issue on two different macs. One 2013 MBP and one 2017 iMac. The fix suggested by Loren Kane above does not work. Any else have an idea?
