Upgrade from Free Plan to Paid plan to access files in Trash

Hi I’m on a free plan and read that I can’t recover files from the trash on a free plan. I’m wondering if I can upgrade to a paid plan to be able to access files in the trash that were put in the trash from my free account?

Hi there, 

Welcome to the Box Community! 

File that has been deleted for more that 30 days prior to upgrade will no longer be recovered. If you are under a free account, you have 30 days to recover the files. Please check this article: https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/360044196093-Managing-Trash

So if I upgrade from the free plan to paid plan now there may be a chance that the files are still in the trash?

Hi Aira

I looked at upgrading my plan so I can access the files in the trash but I would Iike the option to pay for the plan monthly instead of annually as it’s currently set to when I try to upgrade. Since files are time critical in the trash I don’t have a few days to wait for a response to this support ticket. Can a support agent help me to change the billing to pay monthly please.

I have upgraded to the Personal Pro monthly Paid Plan. Can someone from your support team please contact me urgently to check the purged content in the trash. The article said it needs to be accessed from your end.

Hi, I have not heard any contact back from your support team. Can someone please contact me, the files are important to retrieve from the trash and it needs to be done from your teams end.
