When I first logged in my Box account I accidentally linked the box account to one of my google accounts. Therefore when I open a document with Box for Google Workspace the document is associated with this specific google account.

I would like to shift the association to another google account. I do not know how.

Previously edited documents seems to be linked to the first account. And that happens to the newly edited document as well.

I have logged out from the google account to which docx files were initially linked. I am unable to open a box document in Google Docs.

I have uninstalled the Box for Google Workspace app and then installed it back after having closed the browser (btw it is Firefox for Linux).

No success.

How can I shift to another Google Account?

Hi Jose,

Welcome to Box Community and glad to help!

Note: Your Box and Google Workspace aliases must match for you to use the integration.

It appears that you can't  change your google account for your Box for Google Workspace integration. To know more, please use this article.

Hi there, I have a similar issue and need to solve it ASAP. I originally created my box account by signing up through the google app with my google email and password. Then I changed the email and password in my account to another google email, and tried to access the account with the new email and password. I cannot access it because it tells me that it is already linked to another account. There is a popup window with a button that says “Show Me How” to resolve the issue, but the link points to a non-existing page. Can you get in touch with me directly to solve this issue ASAP? Thank you
