Unable to open a Box drive file that is synced to windows 10 desktop

Hi, I am syncing my Box drive files to desktop using the Box sync agent. When I try to open the files on the windows desktop, I get an error. Note that my files are encrypted using a encryption technology, and I have a desktop client that helps me open these encrypted files. I can open these encrypted files on any other folder, but not on the Box folder that is synced to desktop. Can any one help me with this issue?
