Unable to Generate Backup Codes – Error in Box Cloud App

Hi,

I'm experiencing an issue with the Box Cloud app. Whenever I try to generate backup codes for my account, I get an error message. I’ve tried refreshing the page, logging out and back in, and even using a different device, but the problem persists.

Is this a known issue, or is there any fix for this? I need the backup codes urgently for account security.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks for your assistance! The issue has been resolved, and I can now generate backup codes without any problems. I appreciate the support team's help!

I also am unable to set up an account because it says can’t generate backup codes. I only want to download tax forms nothing more.

Hi, There doesn’t seem to be any way to submit a request for help, so posting here.  Would someone at Box please tell me how to generate backup codes?  I’ve added and removed MFA several times, also via InPrivate/Incognito browsers, but I was only prompted once that codes were being generated, and it ended in an error message.  I’m trying to use email as the verification process and do not want to use an authenticator, and would also prefer to avoid using SMS.
