Hello Support,

I've tried adding two-factor authentication to my account.  After clicking the set-up button I tried scanning the QC code using Duo and Microsoft Authenticator, but each time the code was invalid.  I tried my cell phone but the code I received was not valid either.

Can you tell me how to enable two-factor authentication?

Scott

Hi Scott,

Welcome to the Box Community!

Can you make sure to follow the steps provided in this article when setting up 2FA in your account?

After scanning the QR code, make sure to enter the unique random code generated by authenticator app. These one-time passwords expire after a defined period of time, often a number of seconds or minutes, so you must enter them right away.

Best,

I scanned the QR code and it gave me a 6 digit number.  I typed the number into the modal and it says "Invalid code".  It took me about 10 seconds to do this and I tried multiple codes generated by the authenticator app.

Hey Scott,

Do you have the latest DUO app and device OS?

If not, can you update this on your device, then try this again and let us know how it goes?

Best,

Yes.  But it doesn't work with Microsoft Authenticator or SMS.  I created a new Box account using a different email address and was able to set up 2FA.

I also cannot upload a file or folder anywhere in Box because it is grayed out in Safari. Help?
