We are thinking of enabling the following setting:

  • disable all shared links after a specified time of link creation

The default time period of this is 60 days.  If a link was shared 6 months ago, and this setting is enabled today, will the links automatically expire once we turn on, or will they remain active for another 60 days?

If the links automatically expire because they were shared more than 60 days ago, what notifications, if any, will be sent out to the users of the shared links?

Hi Romel,

Hi Rona,

I haven't worked with Product Support and I don't have an answer to this.  Can you provide the answer to this or point me to where I can get an answer?

Answer:

The Auto-Expiration setting for Shared Links under your Enterprise settings is not retroactive. This expiration will only be applied to all new shared links. Existing shared links will remain and will need to be manually adjusted to receive this new expiration.
