I have recently moved from a Windows 10 laptop to Apple Mac. I have installed Box & Box Sync on the Mac and then synced with my Box files in the cloud. I have now discovered that some files are missing on the Mac and on the cloud. However the files are still present on my old Windows laptop. It's hard to identify which files have disappeared. I don't want to sync my old laptop with the cloud in case I lose the files. Has anybody suggestions on how I can a) identify what are the missing files and b) get them from my old Windows laptop to my Apple Mac. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi there,

Welcome to the Box Community!

Please be advised that you cannot use Box Drive and Box Sync on one machine. To investigate, please provide the following:

  • Screenshot of what it looks like in your Mac, Windows and web app.
  • The files that are not sync or missing
  • Is this owned files or just collaborated files?

Looking forward in assisting you.

Thanks for your reply. First of all, should I remove Box from my devices? I need to sync my box files across several Apple devices.

I will await your answer before providing details of the missing files.

I have now removed Box from my Macbook and done a Box resync. The situation is unchanged, there are numerous files that haven'y synced across to my macbook. They seem to be more recent files. Here are screenshots of BOX3_7dUqbhw7Dd_fC6i9CULm7g.pngone of the folders on my Windows laptop and one of the same folder on my Macbook.Anyhelpappreciated.ThanksJimBOX3_r_ilEarAt4jPgFSfq5XuWA.jpegAny help would be appreciated.
