I need to transfer files from my school account to my personal account because my school account will be deleted shortly. I have made my personal account a co-owner on all of the folders I want saved. Since I have done this, does this mean that the files will NOT be deleted when my school account is deleted? If the answer is no, what else can I do to facilitate the transfer?

Hi Kate,

Welcome to Box Community and I’m here to help!

Making your Personal account Co-Owner to the folder(s) won't guarantee that your folder(s) won't be deleted once your School account is purged.

To transfer the folder ownership of your folder(s)  from your School account to your Personal account, here's the steps.

Hope it helps!

Thanks for your help, Rona.

When I tried to change the ownership to "owner," I was met with the message that there's been an error and I am therefore unable to transfer ownership of the folder. What can I do to address this?
