Hello, I have accidentally cut and pasted folders from Box Drive to Desktop but some files did not get copied. Now, i have to restore those folders in box drive to previous version. Please help me with this, or please suggest if upgrading the account might help.

Hi @AbhishekG

Welcome to Box Community, and we’re glad to assist!

On Windows: Dragging and dropping a file from your desktop into the Box folder copies the file to Box. The original file remains on your desktop.

On Mac: Items (files or folders) dragged and dropped from a user's local drive into Box are moved instead of copied.  Similarly, items dragged and dropped from the Box folder to user’s local drive are moved instead of copied and hence deleted from Box.

Note:  To copy the item, hold down the Option key.

For reference, please see this article

Did you lose your Box files and folders in the process? If so, please check out your trash/bin icon in the Box website and restore your contents.

Hope it helps, and if you have additional concern please let us know.

Hello, thanks for replying. I had cut the folder from Box drive to desktop, and in this process all the files did not get copied and empty folders are showing. Please suggest me how to recover these files as I hope there must be a previous version available with Box drive of the folders.
