Syncing files... is stuck. Where can I see which files cause the trouble?

Often, box reports that it is "syncing (x) files..." which lasts forever. Using another computer it then turns out that I'm working on unsync'd files, resulting in copies and manual repairs. The problem is that box does not report about this problems and does not inform, which files it is trying to sync.

Can I see somewhere, which files cause the trouble?

I would suggest that box reports more clearly about problems and then e.g. warns and suggests solutions, such as "keep local" or "overwrite local with remote", as it is used in versioning systems, instead of silently creating copies.

Hi Michael,

Welcome to the Box Community!

Have you checked to see if there are problem items that could be causing this?

Box Sync provides detailed user notifications if a file cannot be synced. To see the list of current problem files, go to the Box Sync icon in your system tray or menu bar and select the "Error Syncing File" option.

For details, please take a look at this article: https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043697594-Box-Sync-Troubleshooting-Basics

This may be relevant to your problem with the next steps.

I have the same problem. But what you are suggesting, France, does not wokr. Because while stucked on "x synching" there is no list with errors. This list appears only when synching is ended.
