Stream was already closed exception when using "Fine" logging

I'm getting the exception "Couldn't finish closing the connection to the Box API due to a network error or because the stream was already closed." when calling the "BoxFolder.canUpload" method. This exception only occurs when I have logging set to "FINE" as outlined on this page:

Using the Box Java SDK 3.8.1.
