Storage usage reported incorrect

Hi,

My box account seems to report that I’m almost at 100% usage however adding up all folders seems to amount to under 50%of my quota? Is there some error with the quota or are there some invisible files not showing within box?

    Hello there,

    I've got similar problem.

    I had 10 GB left to my 50 GB limit, then I reorganised my folders: created some new folders, moved (not copied) some files but dind't upload any new file.

    It came from the blue then when I saw 53 GB for my account, +13 GB only because of some new folders!!!

    I hope it is not the corporate policy of box...

    Something must have gone wrong here...

    Welcome to the Box Community! I'm happy to help.

    I ran a script to fix the file size count in your used storage and should be seeing the right file size count.

    You can check this by going to your Box console> Account Settings>Account> Account Details> Storage ( used/total).

    Box Support is able to run a script for specific end-users’ accounts to fix the data inaccuracy issues around user storage size, folder size, and file counts. Please note that while the issue may be fixed, we are unable to guarantee that the account will not be affected by the issue again - particularly for users with massive amounts of content.
