I emptied almost all of my files however the storage indicated that I used 41.5 g out of 50 g.  Can you please help me fix this problem so that I can upload my files again.

    Great news! I went ahead and fixed your storage count. To verify this, log in to box.com> Account Settings> Storage Used.
