I use Box as a contributor to folders other people have set up.

I was trying to upload a file to one of these folders and I got the warning that my "10GB limit has been reached" and could not upload any more.

This collaborator folder already has a size of 99.5GB, so well past 10GB. I checked again, and my account says 0 bytes of 10GB used. What's the problem?

Further info: The file I was trying to upload is 186MB, under the 250MB limit for the smallest user plan. I looked at the plans available and they do not say anything about individual user contribution limit.

Hi Theresa,

Welcome to Box Community and glad to assist!

Upon checking, you haven't reached your storage limit as well as you don't own a file or folder in your account.

At this rate, please check your collaborated folders and reach out to its folder owner. To make sure they have enough free storage in their respective accounts.

Hope it helps!
