Sort Setting - most recent to top

I used to have all my files sort with most recent to the top. That setting is gone and it now sorts with the oldest to the top.  I know I can click on the column header to sort but I then have to do the same at the next level, AND I have to do this every time.  It's very annoying.  Is there a setting for "sort by most recent" that will apply to all my files?  What happened to that setting?

    I have this same issue. My IT guys talked me through how to fix it, and it says Recents should show up first, but they still don't. Can you please help?
