Sort is by "last accessed" - can I permanently make it by file name?

The sort configuration is based on what is set on the All Files page. If you have it sorted by date on the All Files page, then all contents within folders will follow that format. In a single session you can sort by name, but as soon as that folder is closed, it will go back to date.

Hi, it's extremely inconvenient to have to change the sort mechanism every time you log in. There needs to be a way for the box to allow users to set default sort preferences.

Yes, please allow users to permanently sort Box files and folders by file name again.

Box used to automatically sort by name for years and this seems to be a more recent change to the platform. Can you please make that a setting or way to have users set sort type “default?” Like other posts here, my organization has a naming convention that allows for us to list documents in an intentional order. This update is now making me click on incorrect files which is impeding my workflow efficiency. Thank you for considering this suggestion.
