Sorry, you can not invite deactivated users to collaborate.

Hello, we are using Box for our clients and I cannot add my client to a folder because it says that the user is deactivated. Can someone please help so I can add him as a collaborator to a box ASAP?

Hi Frosina,

Welcome to Box Community and glad to assist!

Collaboration invitation requires Box log in. If your invitee have already deactivated his Box account you're likely to get this error. 

Please let the user know that he must reactivate his Box account by contacting Box Product Support or setup a new account to collaborate.
