"Something went wrong with your request. Please try to invite collaborators again."

When attempting to add a collaborator(s) to a folder, I receive the following error message: “Something went wrong with your request. Please try to invite collaborators again.”

I get this error message whether I attempt to add one collaborator or multiple. I tried multiple browsers, logged in and out, cleared cookies and cache, etc., but no matter what I do, I still do not have success.

There does not seem to be a way to submit a support ticket to Box Support (perhaps because it’s a free account), which is frustrating.

I would appreciate insight into a resolution. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to Box Community, and we’ll assist with your invitations. 

 

Aside from the steps you mentioned you’ve taken, please try these too: 

  • Updating your browser to the latest version
  • Clearing your browser's cache
  • Using Box with an alternate browser, computer, or network. 
  • Temporarily disabling any internet security/firewall programs to test whether they conflict with Box (Note: you may need clearance or assistance from your organization’s IT department/helpdesk to do this)
  • Temporarily disabling any plugins/extensions in your browser
  • Removing unwanted extensions, plug-ins, ads, pop-ups & malware:

If you continue to get the same error while inviting collaborators, please let us know.
