SOC 2 Report Request

Hi! Can you share steps on how to receive a copy of the SOC 2 report for our Vendor Management team’s review? We’re currently using a free account, but looking to move to a paid plan. I tried to check with Box Support, but was directed to Community Support for help. Thank you!

Any ETA on when Box Product Support will reach out to ​@eugeniag to start the SOC 2 report process?

If possible, we’d love to submit the SOC 2 report for Box Enterprise compliance approval before the end of fiscal year.

By any chance, are you requesting the SOC2 report for your paid Box account? If so, I believe you could send in the request directly via support

Hi @Rona Box,

I’m trying to request the SOC 2 report, but when I access the link you shared, I can’t find where to create a ticket to request it.

It would be great if this process were simpler, for example, through a trust page where we could directly retrieve the report.

We need this report to add Box to our vendor list in order to complete an audit. Is there an email address we can contact to provide our account details and request the report, or is this process only available via a support ticket?

Following up with Celia’s note. We currently have a free account, but need to submit an SOC 2 report for review before signing up for a paid account. I had tried to contact Box Support (case: #3464267), but received this message:

While we're always happy to assist any Box user who's having trouble logging in, for all other issues we only offer technical support to customers on one of our paid plans.

We use your email address to determine your account type and available support options. The email address you've used to submit this case is [email], which is a free account. If you have a paid account under a different email address, please log in to that account when interacting with support to get access to the full range of available support options. 

 
All Box users have access to the community forums and support documentation at support.box.com

Hi ​@Rona Box - 

It seems we have a chicken and egg problem here:

  • We would absolutely LOVE to sign-up for a paid Box account.
  • However, due to our company policy, our compliance team requires a SOC 2 report in order to approve 3rd-party vendors.

I imagine you have other customers that also work in a similar manner.
