When I sign in to the Box app from my iPhone, I get an error only on Box from AzureAD Conditional Access, even though it is a compliant device, and I can't sign in. I contacted Microsoft and they said the Box app is failing to display device information. Most apps seem to present device information via Microsoft Authenticator, does the Box app do the same?

Hi there,

Welcome to the Box Community, I'm happy to help!

I had a chance to check your account type, and noticed that your profile here is linked to a Personal Free Box

Please be advised that SSO authentication is available in Business and Enterprise accounts. Box supports SSO via SAML 2.0 and acts as a service provider (SP) for SSO. The client must implement a federation service to act as an identity provider (IdP). An IdP is a user management tool connected to your use store and allows an admin or co-admin to define access to enterprise applications.

To learn more about using SSO to login to your Box account, please take a look at this article: https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043696514-Setting-Up-Single-Sign-On-SSO-for-your-Enterprise#toc-hId-735615067

Thanks for posting and let us know how else we can help!

Regards,

Thank you for your reply.

My account is "Individual", but the end user's environment uses an "Enterprise" account.

Also, SSO authentication is possible from the Windows terminal, and SSO is not working only from the iPhone Box app.

Where should I check in this case?
