side effects of changing Update User "status" attribute?

Hello. 

If I use the Update User API call to change a users status to one of

active, 

inactive, 

cannot_delete_edit,

or cannot_delete_edit_upload

what are the side effects of the user's shared/collaborated folders for the inactive, cannot_delete_edit, and cannot_delete_edit_upload when the user is the owner of the folder and file? 

Do all of the shared folders permissions of co-owner, editors and other permissions stay in place despite the change in the user owner's status?
