Hi there,

When I shared a file recently, Box asked the recipient to sign up for an account to view and edit that file. Is there anyway I can get around this?

    Welcome to the Box Community! I'm sorry for the confusion. I'm happy to help.
     
    I suggest that you use "Shared Links". Anyone with the link can access the item and no Box account is required.

    The recipient would still need to download the file, wouldn't they? In other words, they wouldn't be able to access it directly from the Box.com site and edit it via that platform (if that makes sense)?
