Sharing Collections

Letting us create collections without allowing us to create a link to share those collections is (to me anyway) totally counter-productive.... the prime reason to create a collection (for me) is to share it..... please get this fixed soon

Has there been any movement on this? It would be REALLY useful. We want to create a shared collection that we can add items into for a pipeline to process. Then after processing the pipeline pipeline would remove them from the collection.

I see others have asked for this as well. Is there anything on the horizon that will allow sharing of collections? It is a waste to only have a collection for yourself when others you are sharing with do not. 

I recommended Box.com to a colleague so he could share his thousands of videos and photos with project members (both internal and external members). The external client loved how easy Box was, and organized all the files into “collections” so that the file and folder hierarchy wouldn’t be affected by the external client’s choices. We are now stunned to learn that collections can’t be shared. I’m actually disappointed and surprised that this isn’t an option in Box. Why wouldn’t users share a collection? It is like a photo album. It is the collection you want to share. The client now has to select the files in his “Collections” and download them, and then share those duplicates with us creating a real mess for us to manage. This has to be a slip in the Box’s UI/UX workflow. What is the problem with adding a “share this collection” feature?
