Someone shared a Box Folder link with me and have asked me to add files into it, how can I do that?
Question
Shared Link
Hi there,
Welcome to the Box Community, I'm happy to help!
You won't be able to upload files via a Shared link as this allows read-only access to a file/ folder. The person who sent you the link can either invite you to collaborate on the shared folder or use other Box upload features such as: File request link or Upload via email to collect documents from others.
To learn more about the difference between using a Shared link and inviting collaborators, please take a look at this article: https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/360044196073-Collaboration-Frequently-Asked-Questions
These articles discuss more about the other Box upload features that I mentioned:
Hope the above information is handy! If you have questions, please let me know and we will help you.
Regards,
