Shared files say I cannot open them until I set up 2-step authentication, but I already have.

I created a Box account, enabled two-factor authentication with SMS text, verified it, and then clicked on the link previously shared with me to access documents. However, there is a red exclamation point (still) by the document that says I cannot open it until I enable two-factor authentication. I already have. Help?
