Hi @Lisalu613,
Welcome to Box Community and we’re glad assist!
Upon checking, it appears that you’re not the folder owner. And as a collaborator, your ability to modify the folder and its contents can be limited.
Right now, see if you could delete the files (that I figured you’ve uploaded) and lastly, if you want to remove your association in the folder, you can initiate your removal in the folder.
To end your collaboration access:
- Open the appropriate folder.
- You will see a list of collaborators in the right-hand sidebar.
- Click a collaborator's name to to view all the collaborators in this folder.
- Find the collaborator whose access level you would like to modify. You can search by name using the Filter Collaborators search box in the upper right.
- Under the Permissions column, click the user's access level to modify it. Select Remove. If the option is greyed out, you may not have the necessary permissions to remove that collaborator.
Hope it helps! Please let me know if you have questions.
Thank you for following up. However, it doesn’t help. I am not the owner of the folder. I was invited to send in documents to be approved for a rental property. I shared sensitive infomation to obtain a lease and after communicating further with the folder owner I bagan to feel uncomfortable and did not move forward on siging the lease. I don’t belive it is fair for him to still have access to my documents as he no longer needs them. I don’t feel it is fair for me to not be able to remove them. Removing myself from the folder does not take my documents with me. Do you see how this service can feel unsafe and unfair? Is there anything I can do? File a report? Pleae help me.
