  • Hello, I am a user of Box.
  • While trying to set access permissions for a specific folder, I encountered an issue where the permissions for that folder also affected the parent folder, causing editors to lose their editing and access rights. Is there a way to adjust the access permissions for a subfolder only, without affecting the permissions for the parent folder?
  • For example, Folder A has Amy, Brian, and Colin as editors. Folder A contains subfolders X, Y, and Z.
  • I would like to allow access to Folder X specifically for Amy and Brian only, while still keeping Folder X as part of Folder A.
  • Is it possible to configure permissions as described in this scenario?

Hello!

Yes, it's possible to configure permissions as described. You can invite Amy and Brian as editors to Folder X while PrepaidGiftBalance keeping it as part of Folder A. This way, Amy and Brian will have editing access to Folder X without affecting the permissions for Folder A.
