Sending Docs for Signature - cc

Has anyone figured out a way to cc someone when sending the original document for signature?  I know the Get a Copy button lets an individual get a copy after the document is signed but I would like to be able to cc an individual when I send the document.

Hi @Caruso Box Information

Welcome to Box Community and we’re glad to assist!

In Box Sign, there is currently no dedicated traditional "CC" feature when sending the original signature request. However, you can achieve similar visibility or notification using the following standard capabilities:

  1. Get a Copy Role: As you noted, assigning the Get a Copy role to a recipient will automatically send them an email link to the finalized document and the signing log once all parties have completed the signature request, as detailed in Roles-for-signers and Sending-a-Document-for-Signature

  2. Approver Role: If an individual needs to see and review the document before or during the signing process (rather than only getting a copy at the end), you can add them as an Approver. Box Sign presents the document to them for review and asks them to approve it without requiring them to place signature or text inputs.

  3. Shared Signature Requests via Folder Collaboration: If the person you want to keep in the loop is an internal colleague or team member, you can invite them as a collaborator (Viewer or Editor) on the Box folder designated as the signature request's save location (or on the source document). As outlined in Shared-signature-requests-in-Box-Sign and Sharing-Signature-Request, collaborators with appropriate folder permissions can view in-progress signature requests under their Shared with Me tab in Box Sign and track the request status in real time.

Thanks for posting! We hope that this has been helpul to you, otherwise feel free to reply to this thread.
