I can't believe there is no select all checkbox so the user can select all files in a folder. I looked and looked and looked everywhere and could not find it. I did not have time to individually count hundreds of files. Luckily, I figured out that I can select the first file and scroll through my hundreds of files down to the bottom, hold shift, then select the last file to select all.
Why did I want to select all my files you ask? I wanted to know how many files were in the folder but while looking at the folder from its parent, it didn't show the quantity of files within that folder. Unfortunately for me, I happened to be in grid view which does not show file quantity for unobvious reasons. I'm pretty sure it showed the quantity before. But! I went into list view and was able to see it!
EDIT: so maybe I'm not psycho after all. In the screenshot on this page, it shows the quantity of files while in grid view: https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043695474-Sort-Files-and-Folders
Was this feature recently removed?
Wouldn't it make sense to have a select all button? Wouldn't it make sense to show the quantity of the folder even from grid view?
