Search Function not Working

Search is not returning files that I know are in Box, I have tried every filter, deleted cookies/cache, restarted computer, and still search isn’t working for basically any files.

Welcome to Box Community and glad to assist! 

 

Since you have already cleared your cache and cookies, please ensure:

  • You are using the latest version of a supported browser (Chrome, Edge, Safari, or Firefox).
  • Try toggling between List View and Grid View on the Files page, as this sometimes forces a UI refresh.
  • Temporarily disable browser extensions or plugins, or try accessing Box in an Incognito/Private window to isolate third-party interference.
  • Check if your local antivirus, firewall, or proxy (such as Zscaler) is blocking Box traffic, which can cause search queries to time out or fail to return results.
